Issue 3/26

The theme of issue: New Education. On the Need for Change in the Education of Students and Teachers

The dynamic changes in reality, pressure related to social and family expectations, knowledge of how the brain works, learning and the ability to focus attention and mental well-being, the multiplicity of stimuli and information coming from the environment, the fast pace of everyday life, the prevalence and possibilities of using new technologies and artificial intelligence, loneliness and the disappearance of interpersonal relationships, problems related to the organization and use of time and the regeneration of physical and spiritual resources - all pose significant challenges for education. This raises a number of questions, such as: How should students and teachers be educated nowadays? How are they supposed to acquire knowledge and develop skills? What kind of knowledge and what kind of skills? How can new technologies and AI be used in the education process? How to motivate students and teachers to be cognitively curious? How should learning activities be organised? How to meet the emotional needs and take care of the mental well-being of students and teachers? How to develop social and emotional competences and self-esteem? How to prepare students for the changing labour market? How to function in a chaotic, unpredictable and overstimulated world? The aim of such considerations is a broadly understood reflection on presented issues, including the diagnosis of the situation and interesting and innovative solutions in this area.

We invite submissions from researchers who see the need for changes in the education of students and teachers. Articles submitted for publication may include dissertations, polemics, research reports, reviews and reports from academic conferences.
