Subject of the issue: Pedagogy in Christian Inspiration from the Perspective of Rev. Professor Marian Nowak

The issue will be devoted to the analysis of the scientific achievements of Rev. Professor Marian Nowak (1955 – 2025), with particular emphasis on the importance of reflections on the status of general pedagogy and on the author's concept of open pedagogy. We encourage the submission of source papers.

The proposed topics include, amongst others, the following issues relating to the achievements of the Professor:
– contemporary approaches to general pedagogy and educational sciences,
– methodological foundations of pedagogy,
– the status of pedagogy as a science inspired by Christianity, the metatheory of Christian pedagogy,
– ontological, anthropological and axiological assumptions of education from the perspective of open pedagogy,
– the nature and conditions of the educational relationship in the postulates of open/Christian pedagogy,
– current challenges for Christian education,
– the presence of the assumptions of open pedagogy in various subdisciplines of pedagogy and in reflections on upbringing.
