Family – The Environment Supporting Educational Well-Being of the Child

Abstract

The family is the a space of interpersonal relations, educational environment. In it, the grows up, and channels the socio-pedagogical influences of parents. By carrying out tasks within the functions assigned to the family, parents create the well-being of children, also caring for their educational well-being. The aim of the article is to present various forms of support for the educational well-being of the child, including the synergistic space of interactions in all spheres of the child’s personality: physical, psycho-emotional, spiritual, cognitive-intellectual and socio-cultural. The background of the considerations is the integral concept of education by Helena Radlińska, according to which the importance of the family in the process of the child’s development and upbringing is related to integral upbringing and parents’ concern for the synergistic impact of many educational environments in which the child lives, i.e. school, local environment, mass media.
