The article seeks to determine the importance of tactile cognition in the process of drawing directly viewed solids. The research question was: What differences were observed in solids drawn by early school children when viewed directly, with or without touching? The research conducted shows the significant role of the sense of touch, which allows us to identify and differentiate sensory impressions and, in conjunction with the sense of sight, additionally strengthens the learning processes – so important for the first level of education.
