Experiencing the Father Absence Crisis as the Symptom of the Existential Learning From the Perspective of Adult. Preliminary Results of the Study

Abstract

Since the own research has the retrospective nature, I adopted assumption to present the thread from the biography of the studied individual in the perspective of the past – the present, what is compliant with the biographical scientific approach. The aim of the study I have made the threads, determining the individual character of childhood: stigmatizing, emotional burden with parent’s sentence, isolation and adulthood in other words experiences, traumatic events and significations given them by the studied, being brought up in a family with one parent sentenced. I made an attempt to comprehend the family situation of the studied individual, but not evaluation of his behavior, locating research investigation in the constructivist and interpretative paradigm. The empirical part of the article is an attempt to answer the following research questions: In which area does the studied locate, realize retrospective image of adult status? How does the vision of family life of the studied result in interpretation of the present being formed, of dynamics of the present functioning in the family ? In the research, the biography and the in-depth interview is the designed core of the epistemological – exploratory process. The purpose of the analysis was the reflection on the aspiration of studied to find motivators of the reality functioning in the family area. The study it is exploration of the justification and the voice in the discussion emphasizing the symptom of the existential learning occuring in suffering the absence crisis.
