During the COVID-19 pandemic limited mobility, difficulties to direct access to medical services, closure of schools and various public facilities have put people around the world in a very difficult situation, especially in terms of organizing one’s own life and maintaining social relations. The effects of these restrictions were particularly felt by people with disabilities and their families. The aim of the research described in the article was to identify the possibilities of supporting artists with intellectual disabilities in a situation of social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of institutions acting for these artists. An in-depth diagnostic survey method was used. In the first stage of the research, the survey technique was used. The survey questionnaire was sent to 400 institutions supporting artists with intellectual disabilities throughout Poland. 21 responses were received and subjected to analysis. The results show that the statutory institutions working for artists with intellectual disabilities did not suspend their activities during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the vast majority provided support on general terms. Some of these institutions have developed their own, innovative and worth disseminating ways of supporting creators with intellectual disabilities.
