Interpersonal Trust in Educational Relationships

Abstract

The aim of the article is to reflect pedagogically on the phenomenon of trust. It attempts to embed interpersonal trust in educational relationships. The introduction outlines the main findings on the phenomenon of trust in contemporary philosophy, and the main part reconstructs, following educational theorists, the essence of the educational relationship, treated as a form of educational relation. The final section discusses the horizontal and vertical dimensions of trust in the school context and gives an example of therapeutic trust as a specific instrument of moral education.
