Terminology is an essential part of modern translation practice, and therefore it is important for future translators and interpreters to become familiar with effective methods and technological tools. In this context, a case study is presented in which terminology students use the Sketch Engine tool for terminology management. The course combines theoretical frameworks with practical skills aimed at systematically analysing, managing and applying terminology within professional contexts. Here, the focus is on challenges that arise with culturally and country-specific concepts and on creating bilingual glossaries using corpus linguistics. The results show that this integrated approach strengthens students' competencies and prepares them for the dynamic and ever-changing professional translation market. This article analyses the approach to terminology education in the translation course at Comenius University in Bratislava, with a specific focus on the Dutch-Slovak language combination.
