The Editorial Board of Roczniki Humanistyczne (Annals of Arts), Fascicle 6 Linguistics, would like to invite scholars to submit their contributions to the forthcoming issue (2025), whose leitmotif is Encounters: Intimacy and Language.

We welcome a broad spectrum of the topic interpretations, selection of research methods and material bases, which we leave at the authors’ discretion. The profile of this issue in particular favours, but is not limited to, articles which will investigate:

- the theoretical foundations of intimate writing (studies);
- the genres and language of intimate discourse;
- the stylistics of intimate writing (including modes of self-representation and self-creation, exposure of self-creation, exposure of privacy);
- historical and contemporary 'tender words’;
- tabooing and using euphemisms in intimate situations;
- ciphering in intimate language.

We accept only unpublished research papers, edited with high scientific rigour, in Polish, English, or any other congress language (provided that their exemplary material is in the same language).

We reserve the right to reject a text that does not correspond to the thematic profile of the Journal (Fascicle), or formal requirements.

Contributions of approximately 20,000-30,000 characters, including citation and references following the APA standard (https://ojs.tnkul.pl/index.php/rh/citation), should be sent to the Editor via the OJS system.
