The Training and Career Opportunities of a Translator-Interpreter (Dutch) at the University of Debrecen

Abstract

This article discusses the history and current situation of Hungarian interpreter-translator training. After presenting the curriculum currently in force, the best practices of the interpreter-translator course at the University of Debrecen are reviewed. Based on the data from the public national database for tracking graduates in Hungary (DPR) and additional own research, this study examines the labour market position of interpreting and translation students from the University of Debrecen.
