„Revival” in Evangelical Preaching

Abstract

The proper meaning of the reality of the English term “revival” guide us to understanding of a content of evangelical preaching. The term shows its essence and helps to understand its depth. As a result it is possible to interpret correctly of evangelical preaching and use its components for all kinds of preaching, the Catholic Church included. This paper unveils the meaning of “revival” in the light of the Old and New Testaments. Presents “revival” in the reflection of evangelical theology. Afterwards points out the specific features of evangelical preaching. In conclusion, based on presented material, it gives some practical suggestions regarding the preaching.
