How Supporting the Perpetrator of Domestic Violence Helps the Family

Abstract

Domestic violence affects all members of the family system, and one person involved is the perpetrator. There is no single characterization of such a person, but certain features are most often indicated, such as disorders related to behavior control, emotions, self-esteem and identity. In order to effectively counteract violence, one should, for example, undertake intensive and effective work with its perpetrators. Conducting various programs aimed at rebuilding the life attitudes of perpetrators of violence brings hope for effectively curbing domestic violence.
