A Twilight Rimbaud
Abstract
In April 1874, while compiling his prose poems, Rimbaud told Jules Andrieu about his plan for a Histoire splendide, which he would publish as a serial in a newspaper and which would combine facts and legends. This final editorial initiative had the ambition of creating a unique style, which is reflected in the letter to Andrieu and can be compared to some of the poems in Illuminations and one of his last poems in verse, ‘Qu’est-ce pour nous, mon Cœur...’.
