And Perhaps There Will Finally Be a War… The Reception of the Russian Aggression Against Ukraine in 2022 in the Lyrics of Polish Songs (Reconnaissance)

Abstract

This article is an attempt to review and evaluate the literary properties of the texts of Polish songs created in the aftermath of Russian attack on Ukraine in 2022. The author proves the thesis that songs by little-known artists are in no way inferior to productions signed by names occupying top places on the charts, and in some respect they even exceed them. The lyrics of songs by Kamil Bednarek and Dana Vynnytska, Igor Herbut and Sanah are analyzed, along with Łukasz Jędrys and Grzegorz Paczkowski, who represent the sung poetry genre.
