War as a Hermeneutic Challenge in Narratives from the Ukrainian Front

Abstract

The paper analyzes war as a hermeneutic challenge, focusing on narratives about the war in Ukraine. The author examines how war affects individuals, altering their perception of time, space, and identity. War is depicted as chaos, difficult to understand and assimilate. The paper also addresses the issues of propaganda, cognitive dissonance, and the crisis of truth, emphasizing that war is both a cognitive catastrophe and a critique of contemporary culture.
