Focus and Scope

Roczniki Pedagogiczne / Annals of Pedagogies is a pedagogical academic journal publishing topical, original, empirical and theoretical research results in individual areas of educational sciences. It promotes novel and creative developments in pedagogical methodology and methods of educational work.

The Journal accepts articles in four areas of pedagogical research relevant to four fascicles devoted to:

1) The theory and history of education, philosophy of education, and pedagogical thought.
2) Education and school pedagogy and didactics.
3) Special pedagogy, resocialisation and preventive pedagogy, and psychopedagogy.
4) Care, family, and social pedagogy.

The Journal publishes scholarly achievements of three types: a) original articles of both empirical and theoretical nature; b) reports and communications; c) reviews.

Our Journal applies objective criteria of scholarly evaluation of submitted texts. It is addressed to researchers and students in the above-mentioned pedagogical areas of theory and practice and representatives of related disciplines and fields of knowledge.

We accept texts in Polish, English, French, German, Italian, and Slovak.

Publishing schedule: 4 issues per year (March, June, September, December).

If the Journal is discontinued, access to the published content shall be provided by Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL / The Learned Society of KUL.

HISTORY

The beginnings of the Journal can be traced to 1983, when fascicle 1, “Pedagogics”, was published as part of Roczniki Nauk Społecznych. In 2009, Roczniki Pedagogiczne / Annals of Pedagogies started as an independent title. In the years 2009-2011, the Journal was issued once a year, and in 2012 it became a quarterly, issued in March, June, September, and December.
