The article entitled “The role and significance of liturgical catechesis in patriotic education” highlights the extremely important role of liturgical catechesis in the proper understanding and experience of the liturgy. Well-conducted liturgical catechesis can contribute to promoting and shaping patriotic attitudes in children and young people. A patriotic attitude is one of the ways in which every Christian can fulfil their calling to holiness. Therefore, we should seek and use every opportunity to educate the younger generation in patriotism. The Church in Poland has always attached great importance to educating its faithful in the spirit of love for their homeland. Patriotic education serves to fulfil this vocation. Service to the homeland is a very important dimension of the temporal involvement of Church members, which in no way diminishes the supernatural character of the Christian vocation. On the contrary, involvement in temporal matters is a consequence of true faith and a deep and spiritual experience of the liturgy. The great importance of patriotic education through participation in the liturgy implies the obligation to include it in the specific objectives of liturgical catechesis.
