William Craig’s Moral Argument for the Existence of God

Abstract

The author discusses the moral argument for the existence of God as seen by the American philosopher and theologian William Craig. The first part of the article introduces the issue of the moral argument. Craig’s method of proving was presented. The second part of the article explains Craig’s approach to the existence and objectivity of moral values and norms. In the third and fourth parts of the article, it was justified that moral values and norms require the existence of a Lawgiver, who must be God. Craig's criticism of the understanding of morality form an atheistic and naturalistic perspective is also presented. The conclusion presents the timeliness of the argument from morality for the existence of God.
