Catechesis Preparing for First Holy Communion in the Archidioecese of Lviv in the Opinion of Katechist

Abstract
Cultural factors of today's world are constantly changing. That is why the activity of the Church demands a systematic renewal and some new pastoral strategies are created. With regard to catechesis this is revealed in creating of new curriculum guidelines and practical tools for religious education. The Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, conscious of contemporary challenges, is currently trying to develop assumptions for catechesis of children and young people. For this reason, empirical research have been conducted amongst catechists of the Archdiocese of Lviv. This article contains analysis of the results of this survey. They relate to organizational framework of catechesis, its content and methods as well as the development prospects of the catechesis of children preparing for First Holy Communion.
