Humor and its Functions in Preaching the Word of God

Abstract

Humor has many useful functions in the one's personal life and in the human society. Its value are known and treasured by the specialists in public relations, rhetoric and communication. Awareness of the many useful features of humor justify and support the possibility of using it in the preaching of the word of God. The use of humor in preaching requires some important conditions, which have to be respected if humor should be used in the Church's ministry of the word.
