“All Tales About Klara’s Orphanhood”: Notes on Agnė Žagrakalytė’s Novel Klara. Bande Dessinée

Abstract

The article analyses Agnė Žagrakalytė’s novel Klara. Bande dessinée. The main aim is to verify the assumptions of the Lithuanian philosopher Jūratė Baranovė regarding postmodernist trends in contemporary Lithuanian literature. The presented research concludes that postmodernist aesthetics is present in the novel, which is just one of many possible examples of postmodern narrative solutions in Lithuanian literature written after 2010.
