ChatGPT in Education: Opportunities and Threats

Abstract

The dynamic development of artificial intelligence over the last few years has revolutionized social reality. Currently, GPT chat is considered one of the newest and most important innovations in the field of artificial intelligence. GPT technology, i.e. generative transformers, due to their great capabilities, are used in various areas of social life, including education. The main purpose of the article is to discuss the new phenomenon of GPT chat in the context of its potential impact on educational reality. First of all, special attention was devoted to introducing the reader to the GPT technology. Then, the focus was on presenting the use of GPT chats in education, and in the last part of the article, the opportunities and threats posed by the excessive use of GPT chats in the field of education were discussed.
