The Activities of the Wanda and Bronisław Stala Family Based on Archives form the Collection of the Polonia Center of the University of Rzeszów
Abstract
The article is devoted to Stala family – Polonia activists from Belgium. It is based on archives form archival collection of UR Polonia Center that have been not published yet. The publication contains several chapters. First of them is refer to the history of Stala family. Next parts tell about different areas of Stala family activity: PSL Branch in Genk-Zwartberg, Polish Cultural Association, construction of Polish House, Song nad Dance Ensemble “Krakus”, football club “Cracovia”. The article represents a contribution to research about Polonia in Belgium. It is also a case study of the Polish emigrants fortunes after the Second World War.
