Reporters-Podcasters, or a Few Remarks on Expanding the Reporting Field

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present various forms of involvement of Polish reporters in the production of podcasts. The research rests on the assumption that this can be perceived as an attempt to expand the reporting field. The phenomenon can also be considered as a way of estab¬lish¬ing relationships with the recipient community. The he article has a multiple case study design to ana¬lyze the podcasts created by such reporters as Magdalena Grzebałkowska and Ewa Winnicka, Justyna Ko-pińska, Filip Springer, Przemysław Semczuk, Wojciech Jagielski and Krzysztof Story. The re¬search has shown that in the case of reporters broadening the scope of their activity we can speak of two basic dimensions: either the creation of content that interferes with the previous pub¬lications of the given author or totally unrelated experimental activities.
