Abstract

Religious resources – from the perspective of people helping people at risk of conflict with the law – constitute a key element of their own professional and personal background, supporting the process of helping. Hence, religion and spirituality often not only shape the system of values and motivation to work with excluded people, but also provide tools, language and practices that can be effectively used in the process. In the article, the authors at the beginning show the importance of religion as a socialization factor, and then analyze the perception of justice, punishment and forgiveness in religious traditions.
