Abstract

Between 1921 and 1958 Sofía Casanova contributed to the illustrated magazine Blanco y Negro, published in Madrid, with poems, short stories, short stories and, above all, reports set in two countries she came to know very well: Poland and Russia. Although this magazine was intended to be entertaining and to move away from political seriousness and depth of analysis in its themes, the writer managed to maintain this attraction in her texts without suppressing either the one or the other. In this paper we focus on analyzing the reports about Poland, starting in 1925. They show great optimism and faith in the future of the reborn Republic and her desire to show the history, culture and traditions of her adopted homeland to her compatriots.
