This article analyzes the Brevis Descriptio Slavinie, a text serving as an introduction to one of the manuscripts of the Life of Saint Adalbert, preserved in the Library of the University of Wrocław (manuscript I F 327). The Brevis Descriptio Slavinie offers a geographical and cultural overview of Slavdom, providing essential context for understanding the life and mission of Saint Adalbert. The 15th-century codex in which the text appears contains a range of chronicle, theological, and hagiographic works, suggesting its origin within Silesian monastic circles.
