The article presents and discusses an unknown watercolour from 1850 by Cyprian Norwid, entitled Castra Annibalis. The watercolour depicts the Carthaginian military camp from the times of the Second Punic War. It was exhibited in 1947 in the Museum of Wielkopolska in Poznań at the exhibition celebrating the 125th anniversary of Norwid’s birth. The owner of the work at that time was Professor Roman Pollak, historian of Polish literature.
