The Original State of Creation and the Ontic Condition of Primordial Humans in Light of Religion–Science Relationship

Abstract

This article presents a model of dialogue between theology and natural sciences, as well as a philosophical conception of the original state of creation and the ontic condition of primordial humans. The starting point for the analysis are texts claiming that the latest scientific findings “proof” religious revelation, especially in its biblical form. Such publications provide only ostensible support for theists in their reflections on the genesis of the world and humanity. The evocative message, widely disseminated in popular science, is subjected to critical analysis, mainly due to the fundamentalist interpretation of the Book of Genesis and the neglect of valuable approaches to the relationship between theology and science.

Keywords:

act of creation, ontic condition of primordial humans, imperfectness of the world, religion – theology – science, biblical fundamentalism
