The Inalienable Right and Duty of the Church to Proclaim the Gospel to All People

Abstract

The subject of the article is a description of the essential and fundamental right and duty of the Church to proclaim the Gospel, which the Apostles received from Christ and which also calls for the continuation of His mission. A consequence of this right and duty is the recognition and acceptance by the faithful of the teaching of the Gospel proclaimed by the Church to all nations, as follows from the very content of Christ’s mandate. From the above, as should be concluded, the Church possesses a special and inalienable right to the apostolate.
