The Secularization Paradigm of Post-Conciliar Canon Law

Abstract

The present work aims to indicate the results of operating the phenomenon of secularization in the context of the canonical legal system. At the same time, it is an attempt to demonstrate the correct understanding of the concept of secularization and to seek answers to questions about the effects of succumbing to this phenomenon, considering the fact that this concept was, in a sense, shaped within European Christianity. It would be trivial to say that secularization results in the reception (import) of normative solutions originating from secular legal systems into the canonical order. Thus, the article seeks a deeper understanding of the idea of secularization into the legal order of a confessional nature.
