About

Focus and Scope

Roczniki Nauk Prawnych (Annals of Juridical Sciences) is a scholarly journal of law, canon law and administration, published quarterly. The journal is designed as a forum for academic reflection on the legal challenges of the modern society, inspired by Polish legal regulations and court decisions. It covers original works presenting important issues in the field of law, its interpretation and application, including the creation of new legal solutions. These studies can have the form of papers, polemical articles and glosses (commentaries on the decisions of domestic and foreign courts). In addition, the Annals publishes reports on vital international and national scientific conferences, as well as reviews of the latest scientific monographs.

The articles and reviews published in the journal are written in Polish and English. We publish both senior, prominent authors and young, promising Polish scholars representing important academic centers like Warsaw, Cracow, Lodz, Gdansk, Opole and Lublin. The Annals also welcomes international scholars who want to contribute.

Roczniki Nauk Prawnych requires a high scientific standard of submitted papers; they are subject to a thorough and critical review process. The journal promotes high ethical standards, originality of scholarly works, and a rigorous application of legal methodologies. All this, in turn, has contributed to the Journal’s role as an authentic platform for shaping the current legal culture in Poland.

The publishing cycle: 4 issues per year (March, June, September, December).

Deadline for submissions:

issue 1: December 31 of the previous year
