We invite submissions of articles for the Varia section in issue 1/2026 of the journal Annals of Cultural Studies. This section is a space for scholarly works that do not fit the theme of the main issue but make a significant contribution to reflection on culture, religion, art, philosophy, and social communication.
Articles may cover a wide range of topics, including:
analysis of cultural phenomena from a philosophical perspective,
studies on art and its role in society,
reflections on religion and its place in culture,
research on social communication and media,
interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary cultural issues.

We invite the submission of scholarly articles focusing on the role of new media in the development of information technologies. We are particularly interested in research exploring the impact of modern communication tools on the information society, digital media, artificial intelligence, big data, and interactive platforms. We seek interdisciplinary approaches that combine humanities, social sciences, and technological perspectives.
Suggested areas of interest include:
digital transformation of media and social communication,
the influence of algorithms and artificial intelligence on the creation and reception of media content,
message personalization and the phenomenon of information bubbles,
the role of new media in education and media literacy,
digital culture, interactive media, networked narratives, and the information society,
ethical and legal challenges related to the development of new media technologies,
disinformation, fake news, deepfakes, and detection tools,
privacy, intellectual property, and digital platform regulation.
We welcome submissions from researchers across disciplines, including media studies, law, sociology, cultural studies, education, communication, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
