The Priestly Legitimacy (celebret) issued in one of the Polish dioceses contains statements regarding the identity of the priest, as well as confirmation of his authority to preach the Word of God and administer the sacraments. The wording regarding these authority contains errors, failing to take into account the relevant norms of the applicable Code of Canon Law. In turn, an example of a fully correctly formulated celebret can be a document issued by the bishop of the English diocese of Clifton.
